weekly journal
What I did for my art last week: Was sad about a rejection, submitted an audition for Jagged Little Pill (scary lol), set up the studio hole more, put some research books on hold after an ever enlightening conversation with my grandmother about character (shout out Grandma P), sent a list of story pitch ideas about nannying, and worked on my artist website.
wears | bag charms ✨
I originally thought bag charms were dumb. I am very okay with being wrong and very late. I want to make my own.

I am headed to Holly Simple’s Trinket Bar Workshop. Holly creates really fun containers for community, crafting, and meditative sifting. At a recent pop up, I created this necklace with the help of her magic eye.
where’s | the flower show 🌸
I am headed to The Philadelphia Flower show later this month! The place to see and be seen in Philadelphia in February. At least, I like to think so. I am THRILLED for the theme this year, Rooted: The Origins of American Gardening, exploring the personal stories and cultural traditions that shape gardening today. I have a discount referral code to share with my readers, for 10% off entry. Comment PFS on this post, or respond to this email.
wares | painting lampshades 🛋️
Hey, why are lampshades $549589250?! Asking for a friend! I am currently on a mission to not have any white lampshades in my home. So far, it’s moving slowly. But moving! Stencils are working (and Phoebe recently told me I should use a sponge brush!), and I am thinking maybe a stripe on the pink one? Tbd.

Other tidbits:
I am reading Confrontations by Simone Atangana Bekono right now. It’s stunning.
Catherine O’Hara! What a legend. 😢 "I’m drawn to playing characters who are terribly flawed and have no idea about it.”
Keep those calls up - it’s working! Check out Ben Sheehan’s work - and our next lists of demands. 📞
Later this week look out for an essay all about this year’s award nominated films and all the weird overlaps I have tracked like a mad scientist in a lab. 🔬
Ok bye!

Listen to the pod! 🫛

Yes to charms on bags and necklaces.
